The day of nymph

Sept 14. Yoshi and I went to trout fishing to Oshino, katsuragawa river.

Recent days were cooler than last week and I thought it may be beginning autumn in a water. Actually I took a nymph box that I don't using in normal, in my bag.
It was correct!

It was sunny day but a little bit cool and we didn't find many of rise. And several type of pheasant tail nymph were fantastic job, after we gave up dry fly.

My first fish of the day.

Yosh, fish on.

He caught one on BH midge larva.

Our nymphing is Not modern / Europan nymphng style. I love classic style because I don't want to catch much of fish and just enjoy a peaceful day in nature.

Keep casting!

  1. Looks like a great trout stream and the fish you caught seem to prove it. Very nice.
