NY and I went to fly fishing to
Oshino district of Katsuragawa river where is our usual fishing guide trip.
It was rainy at morning but rain stopped around 11:00 and a little bit cold. Actually it was 13 degree air temperature and also water temperature. We saw small mayfly but there were not so much.

First trout of the day. Fished up on Pheasant tail nymph. |
Japanese char on mayfly midge (#20). |
Yamame on mayfly midge too. |
NY also fished up nice rainbow. |
On pheasant tail with soft hackle. |
On "mosca ahogada" that is Spanish wetfly. |
The mosca ahogada: soft hackle wetfly of "Coq de Leon".
Simple and effective as emerger. |
It was not so bad condition for April.
Hey guys, why don't you go to
mecca of fly fishing in Japan?!
