Carp fishing in Tokyo

Usually I go to fly fishing but I like also coarse fishing. And I went to carp fishing today, it was warm and lovely day.

Our team went to Nordic Walking to Hakone where is the famous and traditional Onsen (Spa) resort area in Japan.

Nov 8th.

Our team went to Kayak fishing to the Tokyo bay.

November 2nd.

I went to the private river in Chichibu again and I did fly fishing lesson for a Japanese beginner.

I think autumn color is better than last week.

My friends and I went to mountain stream where is a private river that is managed by local fisherman's union in Saitama prefecture and it takes 2.5 hours by train from Shinjuku where is the biggest terminal station in Tokyo.

It's beautiful autumn day!

My daughter and I went to Karuizawa where is famous and historical resort town in the forest country in Japan.

Almost trout river in Tokyo area already closed fishing season.

This is my last fishing in my homeriver and there will be closed fishing season on October 15.

Turkey and silver

I tied some wetflies on turkey that was hunted by my friend in Canada.

This is bigger fly than my usual wets and I'd like to cast these flies in a big river for bigger trout.

I'm using combi of wet fly, Royal coachman and something smaller black in summer often.

Actually there are very effective and catching any summer trout.

Well, When I casting classic wet fly, I'd like to using cane rod.

The day of nymph

Sept 14. Yoshi and I went to trout fishing to Oshino, katsuragawa river.

Recent days were cooler than last week and I thought it may be beginning autumn in a water. Actually I took a nymph box that I don't using in normal, in my bag. 

It was correct!

I guide Italian group to Lake Kawaguchi and we spent a day on the lake as relax.

The other day I get turkey's wing that caught by him.

Summer vacation / a little fishing in Canada

My family and I went to Ontario, Canada for vacation from 15th to 26th, August and had been in my best friend's house.

You know, it was family trip and was not fishing expedition. But my friend Senya and I went to fishing several times. :)

As you know, in mountain stream of Tokyo area, there are not so much hatch of aquatic insect in summer.
So, don't forget "Ant" pattern for summer trout!

They are tiny but important!

July 6.

I went to fly fishing to Oshino district of Katsuragawa river, there is our usual stream at foot of Mt. Fuji.

Royal coachman dry is my favorite in summer.
Especially it has white wing and very visible at evening time.

Pop'n Caterpillar

This is one of my favorite fly "Pop'n Caterpillar".
It can calling up Bass/Bluegill on the surface.

This is usual and popular fish "Oikawa" in a river of Japan.

It's pretty beautiful and feel "wabi sabi" from monotone body and transparent back fin.
